Frost Fire Park is located in the beautiful Pembina Gorge area, just a few miles from Walhalla, North Dakota and the partnering towns of Langdon (to the west) and Cavalier (to the east). It joins the Pembina Gorge Recreation area, a future North Dakota State Park.
We're about to find out! Roger Brooks from the Destination Development Association (DDA) has been contracted to help determine the future of Frost Fire Park in the stunning Pembina Gorge area of Northeast North Dakota.
Based on public input, considerable research, and many variables, the DDA Team, working with the Pembina Gorge Foundation, will determine what's feasible and what the local communities would like to see as a future for Frost Fire, and then develop a long range Master Development Plan.

This effort was paid for by a federal grant with a deadline of September, 2023. Yes, short notice. BUT we are hoping to have the initial ideas identified, feasibility-tested, and then added to the plan (if it makes sense), by the end of August or early September.
So let everyone you know that this is their opportunity to weigh in on the future of Frost Fire Park.
One of the primary missing ingredients would be lodging: perhaps an RV park, cabins or other types of lodging - something that's been missing in the Pembina Gorge area. After all, when it comes to tourism, overnight visitors spend more than three times that of day visitors.
Other fascinating ideas that have come up include a Zorb course (just go to YouTube and search for Zorb videos), an Alpine Coaster, Zip Lines, and an Adventure Course (like a ropes course), additional mountain biking trails, etc.
